Sunday School News
As a reminder, weekly Sunday school lessons are posted each Sunday on the St. Marks website. Also, there are still more copies of the book “The Heart of Discipleship” in the Narthex We recommended this book as a Lenten family program to review 1-2 pages each week. I guarantee each lesson will generate thought provoking discussions for all.
Our first quarter Family project of making Can Structures is winding down. It is clear we will have a lot of canned food to donate to the foodbank! The best of show will be announced on Easter by the Youth Group.
Our second quarter Family project will involve growing some plants for the Ross Garden. Since we cannot do it all together in the Sunday school classroom, growing pots, soil, and seeds will be made available to anyone interested to give our garden a head start. More information will be coming soon; we are targeting mid April to start our string bean plants for a mid to late May planting. For more information, send me an email at
The hike on March 6th at Jockey Hollow was enjoyed by a small group of brave parishioners. The day was cold and the walk was three miles with a couple of steep uphill climbs. The sun was out while the talk was flowing and the feet kept moving. We enjoyed the morning and ended with hot cocoa topped with mini marshmallows.
Virtual coffee hour resumed in February. St. Mark’s will continue to host virtual coffee hours after the ten o’clock service on every third Sunday. Please join us from the comfort of home and enjoy seeing your fellow parishioners and sharing in conversation about hobbies, travel, family etc.
A fun time at Jockey Hallow - and yes, it was cold but thankfully the sun was shining brightly!

Keansburg Soup Kitchen
We are headed down to Keansburg next Wednesday, April 7th. Please
to view our needs list as we require some (you guessed it!) meatloaves.
Thank to all who participated in our Ham Drive for the Food Bank. At last count, we have delivered 37 hams and 1 turkey.
Mindfulness & More
Hello St. mark’s friends. I’m Christine, parishioner, holistic health coach, and yoga teacher (right here in our own parish hall). If you are interested in taking a yoga class, reach out to me or the church office.
Did you know I offer Midday Mindfulness each Thursday on the St Mark’s Facebook page? Stop by and check it out! This past visit, we explored one idea on how to manage feelings of overwhelm and gave a gentle stretch to our spines and last week we discovered stress relief and mindfulness options we can use in the car. It’s a 15-minute investment that can yield greater peace, release tension, and maybe even make you smile. Recordings are also available on our website and YouTube.
