This Wednesday at 7PM, join us on Zoom for the first session of Prologue, an introduction to the first 18 verses of the Gospel of John. The Prologue to John may be the literary and theological highpoint of the entire New Testament, and it touches on many important themes which arise again and again in our faith.
In this first session, we’ll be looking at the “WORD”—as in In the beginning was the WORD.
Word? Which word? Any word? THE word? We’ll be looking at 600 years of development of the concept of the WORD before John ever put pen to paper—which John certainly draws upon, and which he contributes to. While we’ll be touching on some deep stuff in this course, it really is designed for everyone. We’ll be using some “big words” but we also have some cartoon drawings to help us digest everything!
